[Comment] Offline: The uses of discomfort

No job. No health. No respect. No money. No dignity. A piece of paper bearing these stark words was pinned to the lectern by Yemurai Nyoni, a young Zimbabwean advocate for women's and children's health. “We are being forced to beg for crumbs”, he said in Delhi last week. “The people in power today continue to dash our hopes. Be prepared to make uncomfortable decisions.” The uncomfortable decisions he was talking about concerned a new Global Strategy for Women's, Children's, and Adolescents' Health.
